Five years ago two teachers who happen to be sisters, Ashley and Erica Smeltzer, started the Reading Buddy Program at Ward Traditional Academy. They wanted to build a sense of community and camaraderie among their students.

On September 27, two fifth-grade classes at Hudson Elementary learned a real life STEM lesson from SRP about energy usage and conservation that could help their school and their parents save money.

On the morning of Friday, September 29, students at Nevitt Elementary were surprised to find out that their multi-purpose room transformed into a donation and distribution center to celebrate National Blessings in a Backpack Week.
